The only thing to remember is that you need to supplement with free choice oyster shell for your laying hens to make sure they get enough calcium.  It's 18% protein and depending on your region it can come in a crumble or pellet form. Should be fed to birds 7 weeks and older. big_smile I am probably biased - but this feed is worth having your store special order! You are probably not the only one in your area who would like to try it!

Is Nutrena based in SE WA?

So is All Flock a new product?  Find it odd that none of the distributors of Nutrena even carry it?

Nutrena is headquartered in Minneapolis, MN but we have mills all over the country, including one just North of Seattle in Burlington, WA.
Yes, All Flock is a relatively new product - we launched the formula early this spring and while it may not be available everywhere yet, it is catching on fast. The fastest way to make it available in your area is to request it from your favorite Nutrena dealer wink.

LoL, aside from the bags, since I can get both was wondering if there is any difference at all. Nutrena is all we feed all of the animals from goats and rabbits to geese, ducks and chickens.

I use this product and LOVE it.  (So do the chickens, ducks and geese.). I love the smaller pellet size, too.

I've always used Nutrena medicated feed for chicks, though.  I know that's a personal thing; personally, I think it's necessary for my youngsters.

A friend of mine has just talked another feed store into carrying All Flock; this is great because that store is so much closer than the one where we've been buying it.

Buncha Outdoor PET chickens, ducks, two Toulouse ganders, and four turkeys. Plus 2 wiener dogs, some bunnies and a rescue cat which owns me. Oh. And a house silkie....
