Just read the story about Kua.  clap   I loved it!  Glad she's doing great!   yippiechickie

I love gardening, chickens, baking, reading - not necessarily always in that order.    Mom to Lulu, the lame part-time house chicken who loves to travel.

I wish I could be the one making decisions about my chickens' care. If I was my favorite hen would still be here today. Since I am only seventeen my parents get to say what care the chickens get. I am allowed to try home remedies and cheap store bought medication but never a vet. I had an epileptic Cuckoo Marans hen, Popcorn, that died of a blocked gut at nine months old. She had to suffer for days before we could get her to the farmer I bought her from as a chick and by then it was too late. Thank goodness your birds have such a nice food lady. My dad is threatening to eat my roosters and non-laying hen when I go to college. I think he's joking but if Rue, Marsalla, and Tenders "pass on" I will not be happy.
