Cochin breeding, genetics, and showing

Cochins International is the breed association, and they do have a website.  There is a lot of great information about the breed on their Education tab here:  http://www.cochinsint.com/education.html

Thanks

I do not know of anyone with LF calicos.
It would be a hard color to create being as you would not be able to use the coloring of the booted bantam. You could maybe use a red, but there are very few LF reds, and a splash and breed towards the coloring

I'm sorry. I have asked this question already. But I can not find my post anylonger. ‍♀️And I'm still trying to learn how to manuever here. Can y'all tell me what gender these cuties are? 1 white w/ black markings we call, "Sprite" is 11 wks. The other 3 sweeties(1 black-"Cookie", 2 white w/ black markings-"Spring" & "Sprout") are 9 wks old. Daddy is a Silverlaced Cochin & Momma's are either a Buff Orpington or a White Cochin.

Orpingtons are a bit slower developing, so any crosses could possibly be slow to show itself, but I doubt it.

These are only 7 weeks old, I could tell a week or two ago that they were cockerels.

Aw! Your babies are so cute!! Yes and Cochins are slow to develop also. Lol. One already tried to jump on back of an adult layer hen, by grabbing her hackle feathers. It was too funny. Not sure which little it was. And they've been acting like lil cockerals fighting. But probably just a pecking order thing? I will keep watch. Thank you for your help!
