5 Month Old Rooster has RED Rash on his legs - What is that?

We are first time chicken owners so any advice will be appreciated. Our : month old Buff Orpington has a red rash on her legs. Should we be concerned? Is this mites? We are fairly certain she is not a rooster. I've read on this site that this is common in roosters

Yeah my silver laced Wyandotte has the same red streaks, only her out of the 5 other hens, but coincidentally she's just started laying a week ago and already laying every other day! Good to know it's not a parasite issue though. Yours looks just like my girls rash.
