She looks like my ancona, but hopefully she's friendlier. They're supposed to be white mottled with black when full grown. Sorry to hear you didn't get your assortment; I put my foot down with BYC when asked about substitutions when ordering and they sent me what I asked for (along with an extra australorp).

~Meg~
The remaining 6 of my original 7 barred rocks are 3yrs old and happily divided between a friend and my mom.
Laying: 2 Partridge Rocks, 1 Columbian Wyandotte and 2 Black Australorps. 14 weeks: 3 bantam Araucana.
Cowed to chicken math and sharing my bedroom with 8 BBS Ameraucana mixes.

I thought it looked Exchequer Leghorn to me.  She actually looks like a clean-legged Mottled Cochin pullet, especially since you say her feathers are soft.

Im going to write the sight i got them from, i only got two of the chicks i ordered, most look cross breed. And if this pullet is anacona, i didnt order one, so the subtituted alot of chicks. I like the chicks i got in the order, all friendly and pretty. But i payed for differnt ones.

Did you tell them no substitution when you ordered?

Bantams - Henny& Penny - Black Araucanas, Amber & Jade - Partridge Silkies, Pearl - White Wyandotte, Riva - Barred Rock, Phyllis, WCB Polish.  Maggie Mae - Old Mutt dog, Wilbur the pot bellied pig. Now, what kind of ducks do I need????

I think yours is an Ancona pullet.  Leghorns have a more slender body shape and are more skittish.

I ordered 2 Ancona pullets this spring.  They first feathered in looking a lot like your girl (white chested instead of mottled), but as they are maturing they're getting more black in their chests and more white mottling on the rest of their bodies. smile

LOVE your avatar by the way!  I love Jerseys. love
