Egg, Male or female?

I have heard that it is possible to see from the shape of the egg if the chic that will hatch will be male or female.

Can this be?

Word is that the rounder eggs are female and the sharper eggs are male.

That would mean that all Jaerhons, Marans and Penedesencas would hatch as females and Leghorns males. (at least in my flocks)

Vent sexing is the most accurate way of determining the sex of a chick. Even that is tricky, people that are trained to do it will not guarantee 100% accuracy.
