Oh my,  I'm glad I came back to check on Derp and you all guys! Love the story of Derp...aww invisible babies, how cute is that!... maybe she's got potential to be a good mom ... maybe she is just rehearsing for the real thing!  I'll take  couple of days of from work, after do some home chores I just plan to "Relax and stare at things" as someone said!  Love and Blessings to you all & your flocks!

At the very least, wipe the poop off your feet before getting in the car.

Hmm, I wonder if Nambroth could let Derp be a broody mama? Would she make a great mama hen to some chicks? Imagine Derperella with a cute little Derpling peeking out from under her!

 

Nambroth, since you don't have a rooster currently, you could find some hatching eggs. Trust me, fuzzy chicks are the best stress reliever!
 

One last Runner-cross duck, 1 WCB Polish, 3 Barred Rocks, 3 bantam buff Brahmas, 1, Sultan hen, 2 chillaxed horses, 1 bossy mare, 2 crazy dogs, 2 ever-shedding kitties, 1 adorable rabbit, and 2 amusing dorm fish.

She said she tried, but Derp wouldn't take anyone else's babies, she wanted her babies only. 

I am crazy about a lot of things. Chickens, reading, writing stories, and most importantly my King, Jesus. :D

Yep-- I tried with some EE chicks. Derp got mad, I think she would have killed them! We all love Derp dearly, but I think she'd be a terrible mother to real babies...

 

She also violently discards any eggs that end up in her nest box! The only reason she hasn't broken any of the other hen's eggs is because the shells are nice and thick.
