I am just going to stain my coop. I have the left over stain from when I stained the fence and the deck. I am all about keeping this on the cheap. Although looking at the coop it looks like a Cadillac.

Coop v2.0 update - I got the right side people door installed tonight. I hope I can get the left side door installed tomorrow and maybe get the roost completed. Once that is done I am at a point where I can move the girls into their new palace. Here is the update to the album:

Wow, it's looking great!

Mark 11:22-23

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.

Supporting the arts = paying artists a fair wage. Art Prices should be reflecting an hourly wage (time has value)+mastery(value of skills & experience)+material cost (paint, paper, etc)+taxes (because it's the law)+shipping (because it isn't safe or free). When an artist gives away work, they don't value/appreciate the time invested in their talent/skills or that artwork.  So why would you?

Coop v2.0 update - Well I am mostly done. The roof is on and the nesting box lid has been shingled. I will probably stain the coop in the Fall when it is much cooler. For now here are the pics:

Awesome!

We finished ours last weekend, save for a little bit of hardware on the front window (using a stick to prop open the window at the moment) the roosts and the poop hammock.  Most of which will be taken care of this up and coming weekend.

Can you send pics of your poop hammock? That is an interesting idea. Thanks!

I will definitely photo-document the poop hammock.  I will be sewing it up out of canvas(possibly denim, whichever is cheaper).  I'll put eyelets on it to hang off of hooks or clips, and I am thinking filling with some stall dry will help keep things dry between scoopings.
