I really like the photos of the Polish. That shot of the pullet in the almond tree is beautiful. Dawn's chicks are adorable. Can't help but smile when you see those!

Take care,

Kim

Thanks you! I picked up the prints yesterday and it's so beautiful in person! She is so excited to enter it in the contest in a few weeks. Just love our polish!

Was just out collecting roos for the auction. I've had one of my younger FBCM hens in a nest for 2 days and no eggs. I took her to my Chicken Whisperer today and he gave her 2 shots. Just found her egg in the box and she's roosting!!! Wooooooooooooohoooooooooooooo

I hope you get more than one Yokohama..................... Aaron will give you more eggs if you need them. Funny thing, we hatched out a couple of his yokohama eggs about a week ago & they were both black.......??????????????????? I wrote to the guy I bought the eggs from last year to see if there are any skeletons in the coop???    LOL. I have a bunch more ready to go into the incubator tonight too.

Last week I was mailed a Utility shut down notice so that PGE could replace a transformer in my area. I immediately ordered two adapters so that I can connect my Genesis incubators to a car battery. The shutdown is tomorrow and the adapters were delivered today. I already have a battery hooked up to a charger, so all should be well. I will post a picture of the setup tonight.

I am hoping and praying that Kim Consuls SG Dorking eggs hatch! 11 of them are still cooking and will go to lock down on Thursday. I am hoping to get the breeding program going. The Dorking breeders keep saying one out of ten will be good for breeding so lets hope we beat the odds old.gif

Yea I hope I get a few more to hatch out too.  I'd love to get more!  Since a low hatch rate would be my fault (the power went out and when it came back on the temps spiked) I am happy to pay for them.  They are not due til late tonight so I assume I will have more pipping.     smile.png

Wouldn't a black Yokohama be a Sumatra?  They come from the same ancestry and are very closely related.

How do you like your Brinsea bators Karen?  I ordered one like the ones I saw at your house a couple of weeks ago.  I am very excited about the new bator!!!
