He's also entered the egg competition. I always let him pick the eggs out, and we don't have a uniform flock. That's fun to sell rainbow cartons, but a little hard on the uniformity. He's selected two of my olive eggers' eggs. They don't exactly match in color, but they're pretty uniform in size and quality to each other. I'm also putting aside a carton from the large Wyandottes, as they match colors better, but are worse on size. If he doesn't get enough green eggs, he can use those.
Next year would be better, as the Blue Andalusian flock will be laying, but I don't think he'll be in 4-H, and this isn't an open show.
