CALIFORNIA The Whole State thread - Page 5

Hi everyone!

I think I'm the third "Kim" in this thread. I guess I'll go by "Kim from Tustin." big_smile

I just posted this on the Southern CA Meetup thread, but I just lost three out of my flock this afternoon. I am utterly HEARTBROKEN, especially for the three who are left, because all they've done since is huddle in the corner together. I thought I'd lost four until one came out from under a bush when I called for her.

So I guess my question is - if anyone is in Southern CA and have some pullets I can buy / take off your hands, please let me know. I'd be happy to drive to you to pick them up. I just want company for my three remaining girls. I have 6 more in the brooder, but they won't be ready to go outside for another 5 weeks or so (I just got them last week).

Oh Kim I'm sorry about your pullets. Wish I was closer I have some mixed ones I was going to sell. They should be Olive Eggers.

Maybe I should go check on my birds and rabbits again. It's been really hot.

I can offer OEGB BB red eggs in small quantities, as well as Serama eggs. I've given up on hatching for a while. I get too attached to the babies and don't want to sell them!!!

Keep meaning to look up OEGB but haven't gotten around to it yet.  What does that stand for?
I'd love to find out what everyone is breeding/selling.  I know we can't list our birds for sale here or quote prices but we can mention what we are all breeding and have available and we can post links to the auctions or for sale threads here as well.

Hi Sheryl!  Great to see you here!  Has the Nevada thread been that quiet lately or are my notifications down again?   hmm

Hi everybody!  Still trying to get moved.  Getting close to being done now.   *whew*  Then the unpacking and getting ready for the yard sale begins but it will be awesome when it's finally done.  Today we began the lengthy process of dismantling the coop.  We were going to start from scratch but realized that this makes more sense for now.

Old English Game Bantams

I like Kayla's little bird though. Prehistoric little guy. LOL

I do love the OEGBs though, but I have few bantams. I love my big birds I guess, but if I had more room, I'm add some OEGB to the mix. They are so pretty.

Forgot what I came in for. I have no room in any of my bators right now, so I'll be selling hatching eggs. I have Coturnix quail, and I've also go a FBCM roo and a Silver EE roo (Came from Lav AM egg, was an oops)  over Games, EEs and Olive Eggers.  If anyone is interested pm me. I'm collecting from today until probably tuesday.

Thanks!   big_smile

hit  Oh no!  I know how that feels!  It is just heart wrenching!  I hope you find more babies to replace them (not that we can ever truly replace the lost ones we loved)!

Man I need to find a way to do things easier around here. Been working in the back with the birds and the rabbits and I can in and sat down and can barely move. Someone come make dinner for me.

OK have to wash feathers. I need to get a stock of earrings going. Oh maybe after I pass out in my chair a while. No. Maybe. IDK......I'd watch a movie, but put on the wrong channel, so Makayla took over the TV. Better than her being bored with all her friends out doing things for the weekend. My eyes are too shot to help her with another word search.

hugs   I'm in the same boat (minus the grandchild).  Been moving (yes still) all day and now I'm too tired to get up and pee.  Guess it's cereal for dinner.   hmm

I have quail hatching. Thing is I thought they were due the 11th and oops. babies running at the bottom of the Sportsman. I hade to put the rest of the eggs from there and an LG into the hatcher. Thinking now I maybe should have just lefy yjem where they were. I have 3 out and a few rocking. Hope they make it.

I had 2 eggs ooz all over one of the turners. I had to switch turners and another egg was stuck from the mess. I still can't get the first 2 loose, but noticed that the other had a low pip. Means I lost yet another FBCM hit
