Mine still hasn't given us an egg YET! And she's about 9 months old.

Wonder what's up with her?

I have a mille fluer who is 9mo and she just started laying. I get about 2-3 eggs a week so far. About time! I thought the litter turd would never give me eggs

I just got a couple porcelain chicks (hopefully hens) and they are so sweet! I can't wait for them to grow up so I can see their feathers! This breed is so beautiful!

I had two of these from a mixed bunch of bantams. This one had a redder comb than the other, who was killed by a predator, so I assumed it was a he. After seeing the photos here now I do not know! It is almost a year old. I do not think it has ever crowed or laid an egg. I have other roosters and to be honest I just assumed it was a male.
So. Male? Female? One thing is for sure. It is very feisty and was very hard to get a good photo so hope this one is sufficient!

So the combs for males vary a lot in size? I have always just admired him but didn't even know what breed he was till I finally looked him up! He is so tiny compared to the other roosters. It was so sad when the little hen died. They made the cutest couple ever and stuck very close to each other. I have just got a couple more banties for him to have company his size but none looked like him so settled for some mini cochins. (like 'settling for a cochin' is hard to do!!)
