Darn! It's not.lau.gif

i WISH! ! !  LOL  but i doubt i'd find something like that just hanging around in someone's backyard.

You might be surprised what people have just hanging around in the back yard!

I did a little searching--I do wonder if the OT are a wild turkey?  Not a domesticated one?

(some record keeping wonder the guy is...) anyways, is anyone interested in swapping these eggs for chicken/turkey/guinea eggs? if so PM me and maybe i can find someone with something i like. 8)

here's a pic from one of the pens

edit: i'm going to wait until monday morning to see what responses I get before I make up my mind...

I'll swap but my orders are a bit backed up right now & it may take me a couple weeks to get them out: I have SQ Silkies in Assorted colors, Mottled Cochin Bantam & a mixed pen of bantam & LF layers with some rare breeds mixed in that should throw a rainbow of colored eggs in the next generation.

yes, it's considered a wild not domesticated variety.

i've read that it's endangered, but they also allow limited hunting. so i'm not sure what's up with that...  trying to see if there's a way to import eggs possibly.

Welcome to the Zoo!  2 Morgans, 2 Minis, 1 Standard Poodle, 3 cats, 3 pet birds and the chickens.

Dorkings and bantam Cochins mostly, with a few others here and there.

And of course, my wonderful Hubby, who puts up with me and keeps me in check when I start to get crazy.

I guess the OT fit in with the whales--some countries still hunt these endangered species. I did not find any US sources in my brief search. bummer.

My incubators turner was not working, has not been working for DAYS!  My son fixed it.  I had to put the eggs in the hatcher, but the humidity was too high.  I have to put it back together today.

I may have some Cuckoo Marans Eggs coming soon and I have some Wheaten Ams eggs and maybe a few more BCM Eggs and some Exchequer X WL egg that need to incubate..... I quit hatching a few weeks ago right?     hide.gif  NOT!  just much smaller hatches 45 eggs at a time and about 2-3 weeks apart.
