Can quail be in the same pen with chickens?

OK, thanks peeps! I'm going with no mixing because if money is spent, surely whatever can go wrong will. My son didn't want HIS quail with MY chickens anyway.

Is this the ideal and practical situation? It works and has worked for me.

Incidentally, I also have different yards for my birds and have never had problems with roosters fighting, either.
