I was wondering how to attach these cups to a 5 gal plastic bucket so they don't leak. Do you think these cups will work for ducks too? We are new raising poultry, we have 12 chickens and 2 ducks. thanks for any advice.

I know this is an old thread but I had the same problem of a leaky poultry cup at the valve, not the place where it attached to the pvc.
Not sure on that one. I recently bought these and screwed them into a 5 gallon water jug and they are working perfectly. It looks like some of the problem people are having in the original thread is it looks like they are trying to attach them to a pipe that is too small. They need a 3/8 inch hole to screw into. It's hard to explain but it looks like the top of the hole is wrapping around to the top of the pipe so there is no way it would seal. The larger the supply is, like a 5 gallon bucket, the flatter the surface is the cup tightens up against.
