Houston Chicken Swap Meet, Lets Start One!

Cool! Hubby just bought me a coop structure for Christmas. Due to arrive in 4-6 weeks. I figure by Spring everything will be in place to welcome chicks. I just have one young Naked Neck Rooster and two little pullets right now.
 
How cool! Well I'm just getting started out but my babies came in 11/02, I got several different breeds; Delaware, EEs, leghorn, NHreds, australorp, SLwyandotte, and some barred rocks! I've already ordered more for Feb. though

They're like potatoe chips, addictive and can't have just one!!ha
 
Hahaha! Yep. Potato chips. Lol

I got my chickens in the spring before I was really prepared and lost them all. Then, we hatched or young roo, and I got a couple pullets to keep him company. They've been in a make shift shanty, but soon they'll be in chicken estate. :)
 
Is this idea dead? I would love to start hosting swap meets but would love to work with someone experienced to help organize it. I have property in the Crosby area
 
Maybe that is the problem. Houston is just too big.
for example I live in Plantersville it would be 1.5 hrs to your place.
Finding someplace central to most locations is almost impossible.
However you are welcome to come visit my 20 chicks and chickens. some 7 year olds and some 2 week old almost all exotics. All pets.
