Rat Proof Chicken Feeder

yes, still making them. And I upgraded the design to a mostly metal feeder with a redesigned counterweight system. Only the door and the upper panel that the door swings on is still wood, everything else is galvanized sheet metal. Less weight to ship, better for damp conditions, and they hold a little bit more feed.

The counterweight system went from a sliding steel rod to a counterweight mounted on the treadle arm itself. Quieter in operation and more bullet proof.

I'll still make the original style if there is a demand but the new model is a big step forward in the evolution of an inexpensive and effective feeder.

Hi Al,
I love your idea and especially love the metal as we live in a damp climate. So far I only have seen mice, and it sounds ideal! I checked your website, but I don't see a picture of your new model. Can you give me an idea on price? and shipping to VA? Thanks !!!

I love your inventiveness!!!

Looks awesome! You have a knack for this, I can see! I will contact you on the site you suggested. Thanks for the quick reply. My only other question for you is about the dimensions and how much feed it will hold. ( forgive me if it was in an earlier post) I have 15 girls and the less work, the better : )

Around 20 pounds of feed. The feeder is around 11" square and 21" tall then the treadle sticks out ten or so inches in front.

Thanks,

Al
