AWWRIGHT!! Another crazy chickener who believes this setup should be right on the kitchen counter! At least, that's what it looks like to me. YAY!

gig yes that is exactly what it is...my incubator is there right now sitting on the kitchen counter and I am setting the fish tank up today as they are hatching again this week... Why would anyone put it anywhere else where you can't see them 24/7...? Now that is crazy! lau

I actually have another spot. In the spare bathroom. I use the towel bar as the heat lamp holder, it's right in front of the toilet.

If I get my chicks vaccinated, do I have to worry about Coccidiosis?

Yes, you still need to worry. We all wish it was that easy!

I was just thinking, I have a cat, and the chicks will probably look like a plate of chirping cupcakes to him. How should I keep him away from the brooder?idunno

My pugs have watched my chicks like cats in the brooder and now in the coop.  If the cat cannot get in, then you are probably just fine.  Pugs are not athletic or flexible like cats.  Nods to all you pug owners out there.
