red legs/feet?!

My rooster has redness in his legs/feet that worrying me. None of my other chickens have it so i doubt its bugs or anything.. i cant really pick him up because he is SUPER afraid of me.. but i can get rather close.. and i dont see anything wrong...

How old is he?   Is it just red lines down his legs or redness and swelling of the legs?

4 beloved small mutt rescued dogs. Raise Seramas since 2010 and starting on Calico bantam Cochins fall 2012.  Spring of 2013,  I now have a trio of bantam  partridge plymouth rocks and a pair of bantam silver penciled rocks.   Over 50, living on acreage in SW Missouri with lots of DIVINE DANCING BANTAMS!    SERAMA EGGS AVAILABLE, PM me. Seramas available spring 2013.

Just redness. i dont think any swelling.. hes a few months

Someone else posted on a post similar to this saying sometimes roosters get it for no apparent reason. I'm not sure whether or not that's true though.

Yes, I run a zoo consisting of 3 zookeepers (My parents and I), some monkeys (My brothers), 12 barred rock hens, and 2 snakes.

This may not help much but here's a go anyhow:

"Cracked feet and foot dermatitis may be pantothenic acid or biotin deficiency, but scaly leg is caused by mites. Footpad dermatitis and hock lesion are often caused by poor litter conditions.
