If I am not mistaken on the picture you are asking me about it is one of my Turkeys. We are not sure what kind he is (maybe a bronze). All I know for sure is that my mother had too many so she started sending them home with me.

These ones wandered into my yard 2-3 weeks ago. They couldn't have been more than a week old at that time. I'm calling them mutts because I have no idea what they are.

They look like game chickens or game crosses, which would explain why they were so mobile at one week of age.  Looks like you are taking good care of them.  Good for you!

I'm hoping one of them is a rooster. That way it can breed with my Rhode Island reds and Delaware hens. That should make some nice big mutts

Sire: Blue Red Naked Neck
Mama: unknown but was by Salmon Naked Neck Roos out of an Easter Egger hen of unknown color.

Reason mothers are unknown is because I runs several different color hens in the runs with my roosters. Usually they are sisters or half sisters.

Shar, who would like to be a crow.

Spotty, who we believe is her half-sister.

breeds: buff Orrington roo / silver spangled Hamburg hen

We meant to breed Hamburgs, but the mother had been penned with an orpington. She'd never laid before, and this was her first egg (about 3 weeks after moving to a pen with only hamburgs!). I was very surprised by this hybrid, but shes a beaut! I'm curious how the eggs will be. This bird is about 5 months now.

My broody presented us with 8 chicks 3 weeks ago! 4 are pure Buff O and the other 4 are Welsummer Buff O crosses.

You can see one of the little mutts on the right. There is a slim chance that one may be a Speckled Sussex/Buff O cross but the 4 little mutts pretty much are all marked like this little one. One of the first hatched is already sporting a big comb (YIKES!) and feathers the color of dark amber honey. From the pics of Buff O and Welsummer crosses that I've seen if 'Primo' as I call him turns out to be a rooster he is going to be striking.

Watchful momma Aggie is patiently teaching them how to eat bread in this picture.
