I vote pullet. Roos have pointy neck feathers and the feathers around the neck look kind of round.

Boyfriend, 1 teenage boy, 1 sheltie, 1 brussels terrier, 15 chickens
2 RIR, 2 BO, 2 White rocks, 1 white crested polish, 1 barred rock cochin, 7 mixed breed hens

The big clue is the vivid, deep color feathering. The second clue you have a junior roo is the erect stance. And that unmistakeable gleam in his eye!

One matronly, yet regal, Light Brahma hen, two Silver-laced Wyandotte hens, two Gold-laced Wyandotte hens, one Black Cochin hen, three Ameraucana hens, one Buff Brahma hen, four sassy Speckled Sussex hens, one Buff Brahma roo, and one nineteen-year old cat who's scared of all of them, especially the roo.
