Tiiiiiiiired.

How's the story looking? Nobody seems to be responding to it. I'm worried it's a bit weird.

lolhugs

I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Don't worry, not not weird in the least. The story goes just as WC's history did, along with some added touches, making it all the better.

Live life fully while you're here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Some people hear their inner voices with great clearness, and they live by what they hear. Such people become crazy... Or they become legend.

Sweet inspiration

Yeah, sitting at the computer and eyes squinting to try making surroundings come into focuuuuus..... gig

woot Good! Thanks, I'm glad to see someone thinks so. I'm looking doubtfully at some of the events in there, but I suppose they make people actually think and try to remember if they happened or not. tongue

The weary branches of the old forest creaked as they swayed precariously against the howling wind, leaves rattling without rythm to nature's quiet, out-of-tune orchestra of songbirds and babbling brook. Though the strange, tall white rooster speckled with black seemed to be seemingly enjoying the solace of it all, Swiftstrike, a rooster that the kind-hearted Peppercrest had rescued the other day from near death, stared blankly at the bleak visage of the cold Winter day, laying limply on his side and just hoping he would recover soon.

A coldfront swept through the land, small white snowflakes drifting weightlessly in the chilled gust. Soon, a thin blanket of flossy, fresh snow dusted the leafy landscape as the snow came down heavier. It eminated a surreal, blue-hued glow from the full moon that hung low in the dense, gray clouds.

"We need to get to shelter," the rooster murmured, more to himself than to anyone in particular, looking down at the limp rooster with genuine concern in his dark maroon eyes. With a subtle shake of his head in pity, he slung the rooster's wing over his back and plodded onward through the undergrowth, aiding the Modern game rooster in walking as he desperately sought for somewhere safe from the harsh weather.

Peppercrest furrowed thoughtfully at the vague sound of conversing birds and attempted to follow it, Swiftstrike oblivious from his surroundings by the unbearable pain in his leg that he feebly attempted to ignore.

Unbeknownst to the new arrivals, a hen was watching from the very tip tops of the tallest trees, her body concealed from view by the thick branches. As the strange group moved forward, she followed from the sky. As it become clear that they were heading in the direction of WingClan, the hen followed more closely, waiting for them to step foot across the border so she would have a reason to challenge them.

The peculiar feeling of being watched came over Pepper, but he saw nothing when he took a glance around him and squinted up at the lightly snow-dusted trees. He slowed to a stop when he came to an obvious border, and paused to assess the situation. Pepper had to think. He wasn't just going to come barging in with an injured stranger, asking for help... was he? But he needed the help. What was he going to do now?

He uttered an exasperated sigh through his nose, realizing his only options were to either leave and simply take his lumps, or wait for a border patroller to notice him.

The hen settled in a place where she could see them, but they would have a hard time spotted her. She waited impatiently for him to take the last step, her claws tingling in anticipation.

Suddenly, in the midst of the mind game being played, a small red shape dashed across in front of the two roosters and was soon gone, leaving only a small stirring of dust in the air.

ray's two cents :

Suddenly, in the midst of the mind game being played, a small red shape dashed across in front of the two roosters and was soon gone, leaving only a small stirring of dust in the air.
