Now seeing the picture that was meant to be posted originally, it just looks like that head turn they do when dust bathing. Many of mine do that and actually pause for a minute in that same position.
This isn't normal.

two of mine do that inthe sun ( when it is out )
but when i get my camera they jump up
so no proof . its my wyandotte and Buff Orpington 8 weeks olds they always do silly looking things including recently roling in fly paper
that was not a fun thing to deal with includingfinding where it came from !

thank you i got the call from my mumtelling me and i had to laugh ! it was all around her wings and between her legs and stuck to her bum !
she tried to clean her self and nearly glued her beak shut !
bless her( i hope) nugget is the ONLYchicken like this !

When I saw one of my dirty dusty chickens sleeping in the dust bowl, upside down with the head turned all the way around, my first thought was something mangled her and left her for dead. Chickens do the weirdest things!!! They also walk along, then plop down and stick a leg out, lay the head down and sunbath - looks like you just had a stroke birdie.
Something to bear in mind with any disease there are ALWAYS other signs and symptoms of illness. Don't worry so auntie, chickens are supposed to be fun!!
Trust your instincts when you say she acts fine and doesn't appear ill.
As far as big brother watching over my shoulder, then fine and dandy, they should be watching and trying to figure how to better serve me...I'm sure I'm not the only one calling for reform.
