WOW I am soo excited to have won! my hen, Woodchuck, is now fully feathered and started laying again. I will have to take another picture to show her "better" side!

OMG!! Was...and I mean was feeling horriable about frizzy being featherless but OMG that is the worst!!! Hands down she wins!!!

So how old are chickens when they molt for the first time? Mine are about 4-5 months, and we are coming up on fall, Im worried if they start now, they are are going to freeze to death this winter...any answers?

First really serious molt, go bald molt, happens around 1 1/2 to 2 years of age
