tar black diarrhea

Last weekend I merged two flocks. This morning I noticed pitch black tar colored diarrhea in a couple places around the run. Our chickens are all free range until the weather turns. The only recent change has been the addition of the new birds. I've seen the poop chart and there isn't any that look like what i'm seeing.  Should I be worried? Thanks.

If it's what I think..then it's normal.  Mine do that occasionally!  But someone else may have a diff opinion.

Mine have those occasionally. Usually on my front porch when I am conveniently barefoot. It's totally normal.

Current flocks are Giant Cochins, Sizzles, Speckled Sussex , Pearl Guineas, and Swedish Blue Ducks. Coming soon, Lemon Cuckoo Orpingtons and Black Austrolorps!

there are regular poops and then cecal droppings.  both are expected and normal.  there is a famous poop chart floating around...use the SEARCH field and type in poop...you'll see the chart.

does the tar like poop stink to high heaven??  if it does, more than likely cecal droppings.
