it is called a ogol Chicken I never heard of it but I found another like it Ayam Cemani the guy that has this Ogol chiken I would love to get one rooster BUT sadly I have two and can't take another one YET one is really old 13 - 14 years old and still reproducing (CAN YOU IMAGINE HIS OLD AND REPRODUCING:D) and he don't have one foot in the grave, but I would like to know where I could get this type the Ayam Cemani I don't think is over in the USA I have tried to find a breeder maybe you can tell me if the others you mention are in the USA they maybe like the britsih/contrnetal/european/? rabbits where they are just over in britain if you understand what I mean none are in the USA I mean.

Hey that for your reply I am not on much so thank for answering me.

Don't know of any cemani in the US, but if there were, they would likely be selling for a huge price, if any were initially being sold at all. However sumatras are not at all uncommon. Well, not nearly as common as OEGB or RIR, but not nearly as rare as many other breeds.

I too, have a hen who is solid black with black waddles and comb. She was born last year. Her father is our ameracauna roo. Her mom is one of the following: Marin, Buff orpington, Plymouth Rock, or RIR. I love to see what genetics come through on these mixes. Since her comb is the only solid black one in the flock, I became curious and stumbled upon this link. Shes a big healthy girl and gives us plenty of eggs.

Ocassionally I read of a mutation in a normally red comb chicken, but the only four breeds that I know of that normally have black combs are the Sumatra, Ayam Cemani, Swedish Black Chicken, and the Silkie.
