My very first bantams layed really tiny eggs when they were younger (starting at about 8 months). They integreated with a flock of full sized chickens several years ago, and after a year, their eggs actually increased in size. I'm still not sure if it was because of what they were eating or being around the other birds. But I would say now their eggs are 100% larger than their first laying year.
