Birthday Surprise for my daughter! (Paint Horse Pics)

We surprised my daughter with her favorite horse! She had started riding her because the guy was no longer using her. He was trying to make her an english horse, she was trained in western pleasure. As she rode, the owner, barn owner/riding teacher and I all decided that they made a great team! So I bought her and we kept it a BIG secret for the next few weeks until her 8th birthday!
She is a 10 year old registered paint.

Beautiful horse! What a wonderful birthday present.

Three dogs, bobtailed cat- Nala, a crazy kitten-Gizmo, two goats, two 1 y/o RIR hens, 16 black and red sexlink hens, one mille fleur D'Uccle pullet, three OEGB cockerals, and our new addition, a barred rock mixed roo, 11 eggs in the incubator! Have a AQHA 5 year old horse named Dan, and a teddy bear hamster (I think thats all)

Lucky little girl. Hopefully she will have that horse to grow up with. I got my first horse 20 years ago, and still have her.

I hope so too! I just lost my horse after 19 years together. It will be a year coming up in December. I lost him 3 days before Christmas sad Growing up with him and the bond we had is something I will never get back with another horse. I hope that she will have that life long bond with Cheyenne and that they will grow together! The horse is 10, my daughter is 8 so they should have many years together smile

Sounds great. My first horse was 2, but I was older. I hope they have many good years together.

WOW!  What a super lucky little girl!!  I want a horse...  hit  Trying to convince my hubby of it is a whole 'nother ballgame tho'!  sad  I know how to ride (English & Western) and it's not like we don't have the room for one!  Sheesh....

Married SAHM with 2 sons (1 grown, 1 in elementary school), former Canine Companions for Independence puppy raiser (www.cci.org), 1 Yellow Lab, 2 cats, 1 pet rat, 2 African-drawf frogs, and a menagerie of organically raised/fed chickens - breeds include Iowa Blues, Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Easter Eggers, Australorps, White Leghorns, Golden Laced Wyandotts, Buff Orpingtons, and 1 Frizzle.
