External Worms? Maggot looking things near my chickens butt?

Today I found small, maggot looking worms on the outside of my chickens butt and kinda of near the belly area. They were hiding in her feathers and crawling around on her skin. I bathed her and removed of all the "worms". She has small wounds that look bloody and I put anti-bacterial cream on them. I have her inside in a nice cage in a quiet place. She has food and water. Her food pouch is also full at the moment. It appears to be a little bulgy but it could just be me.

She seems to be breathing heavily and will not lay down. She has been standing since I brought her in. (about 4-5 hours ago)

What should I do? What is wrong with her? What were those bugs and why were they on her? Iv'e been waiting for her to poop but she hasn't yet.

They could be tape worms (A large infestation if you are finding a bunch crawling around.) but more than likely they are exactly what you are saying they looked like, maggots! Flies will lay on and kind of attack a sick or injured bird, and the maggots drag them down quickly into dying. You have done well, clean her well, keep her somewhere safe and calm, and keep checking her for worms. Check her poop when she has one, and see if you see any worms in it, she may be eat up with tapeworms, which could explain her discomfort.
 
Well, they do wiggle for a bit once they come out, but it's true they don't survive for long once they "pass." I had one crawl onto my arm out of one of my new puppies rear ends and nip me, ugh, it was so gross.

Most likely your chicken has fly strike from flies laying eggs on a wound or poo on her butt. The maggots will kill healthy tissue and eat it. Keep removing them or they will kill your chicken.

They're defiantly not tapes. Maggots I'm sure...anyone know how they got there?

She just pooped, no worms. Normal coloring and what not. Shes drinking lots of water and I put some Nutri-Drench in. Applied some more anti-biotic cream and gave her some yogurt (which she dove for)

I'll be keeping in her inside tomorrow.

Lets hope for the best!

Does anyone know of any anti-fly spray that I can spray the actual chickens with? And maybe around the coop?

And she smells awful still, will this fade? If the smell continues to hang around should I be worried about existing maggots?

Does she have a wound on her somewhere causing the foul odor? Poop caked on her rear end can be a source of the smell... it will need to be removed, use sharp scissors to cut it out if necessary. An infected injury or caked rear end can attract flies, then you have maggots.
