Human way to cull

bad day had to put down baby chick today. our rooster cracked open a egg due to hatch in 5 days. the egg was so cracked and the chick inside was freaking out so i helped him out of shell he was bleeding and not fully developed...he had no chance

We cut the bottom off an empty milk jug and cut the top off to just make it big enough to put her head thru to use as a killing cone. We then nailed that to a tree. That way they dont flop around and there was almost no blood splattering around. Very sharp knife to both sides of neck. Let the blood drain into a container of some sort that can be disposed of with the body. It is very quick. Sorry you have to do this, I know it is upsetting.
