A closup of the head feathers would confirm, but my guess is on a little roo.  Sure is a cutie.

seminolewind  I really love your pictures especially the first one of the kids at the fence line up.  big_smile.png

Nice corral also with the big tree in the center for shade and to run for cover. Do your birds fly up into the tree ?

Say what you mean, mean what you say, but do not say it meanly.

I built the pen a few months ago.  I just have to put up the "Polish Town" sign.

Such beauties.  Is that a Mottled Polish I see, or is it a Houdan?   I want to get me a few Houdans.

Here are two names I dug up.

Gretchen of Bare Necessities,  screen name here is Bare Gretchen maybe ... They are standard size and buff laced and tolbunt chicks

I prefer standard size (large fowl). Thanks.

I have LF but no buff (right now) but I'm considering adding Tolbunt. Just need to get a another, safe coop set up, the buggers are EXPENSIVE! ep.gif

Go to the Tolbunt thread, there are a few good breeders offering good quality eggs there.

Courtney who has just Tolbunt & Gold Lace Polish chickens, and 4 dogs & 3 cats.

My flock's progress here:   http://tolbuntpolish.tripod.com/home.html -need to update badly!!!

And mom Linda's voice(no internet) - Speckled Sussex, Easter & Olive Eggers & LF Polish in Silver, Gold, & Buff Lace and WC BBS. and her "egg layer pen" 8-10 breeds of hens and a few roos.

Just hatched my first Chipmunk marked Crele Laced Polish chick yesterday.  Up until this generation, the chicks from my project have hatched out a mousy brown with a grey under coat.   I am also thrilled that it does not appear to have white in its crest.  Also a first.

I have a young gold laced polish rooster, who thinks his sole purpose is to be held by the person who feeds him. I am think one day in an environment with less rooster crowing he may discover his other purpose.

Here is the Polish Hamburg. I am finding the hens and buff and the boys are white.

I'll post the Top hat cross next.

Top hat crossed. Girls are white, and Roo is more like the Polish dad in color.
