This auction is for McFlurrie. He is a son of my Salmon Silkie Cock "McSilkie" This guy is the offspring of McSilkie & my best Splash hen. His color could be described a Calico, he is in reality a Split Salmon, displaying a lot of the feactures of his dad, including a light comb. Something that is carried by the wheaten gene as it has been explained to me. If his hackles were not streaked and clear straw color, he would be the spitting image of his dad, down to the Mahagony coloring. He is 7 months old, has Very Heavy foot feathering, and good wings. He has a Huge crest, and a tail cushion that is to die for. His only fault is an extra toe numb on one foot. THIS IS THE ONLY salmon offspring I will be parting with this year, since this is such a new color & will be retaining any others for breeding. Shipping with a New box is $60.00, delivery to Crossroads or Ohio National can be arranged as well. Payment by Paypal due at the end of auction to [email protected]
Feel free to ask questions. Good luck!

Oh I love him!

Wish I was closer. Shipping would kill me right now. I hope since you'll be working with this color, that you'll eventually be offering hatching eggs.

Good luck. Someone is going to be getting a beautiful bird.

Thanks G! The deep red color is my fave part to this color. With the Mahagony red breeding behind this guy, and that he obviously carries, could easily jumpstart someone wanting to breed true red silkies!

Awe thanks! But since they are a work in progress, I won't be offering anything any time soon, not until they are really ready!

If you don't have a wheaten hen, I would suggest Black, just like in other project color breedings. The Salmon color is really Silver Wheaten, so you could follow the footsteps of Faverolle breeders, since it already is an established color in that breed. The bird is Pure Silkie & not a crossbred from another breed, so the breed type is already there, you would only have to work on breeding for more consistant color.

I have a partridge pullet from you, could you breed him to her?
