Your cutest chickies! - Page 4

I may make a smaller version of the nipple waterer. I had a larger one in there and it scared them. But of course they're scared of everything right now. They seem to like running through the water dish and stopping for a sip. It's hard to tell from my pics just how small they are. Wild little buggers.love

http://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/103534_2011-04-30_21-19-44_479.jpg All of the above chicks except for one Black sex linked (who turned out half polish too, No pictures. She's too fast) have been eaten. I have since killed the predators, however. The deaths of the Raccoons or Possums cannot avenge so many of these lost, beautiful chicks. sad

http://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/103534_2011-08-14_16-41-07_176.jpg  I always loved this picture. This rooster brooded this chick until a possum came in and ate the chick.

It is sad that this many chicks died, but their parents are still alive, mostly. There are more chicks and eggs brooding now, too. More pics to come, and this time, Ill go overboard with coop security so that NOTHING will get these cute babies.

Chickens will hang themselves. Dont give em any ideas....or loose netting.

I hatched this little guy.  He's a bantam frizzle Polish.  Turned out to be a red splash......I thought he was a cutie.

Proud owner of some nice show quality Buckeyes and Silver Penciled Plymouth Rocks.  I love gardening and being outdoors.  I'm lucky to have a great family, and two cute dogs.  I live out in the country on six wooded acres and it's just paradise!  (Except the mortgage payment and bills, of course)
