no, that isn't the point. the point is i asked a question and you are trying to infer/project your..whatever...onto me. do i need to report you? sheesh.

i don't know how to be more clear, i'm not asking you for diet advice. i am not talking about diet, or nutritional facts. please take your "agenda" or whatever is going on with you some place else.

if you'd like to talk about animal protein, feel free to start your own thread. otherwise, please just stop. please.

You asked for information about feed, we are giving it to you.

no, you aren't. you're going off on some tangent that has nothing to do with the question i asked. you're trying to teach me what you think you know about feeding chickens.

that wasn't my question. i'm unsure why this is confusing. seriously.

Here is an article about feeding chickens, I think you would do well to give it a read. http://www.thepoultrysite.com/articles/94/feeding-chickens-for-best-health-and-performance

If you are interested, see my BYC page for my non-GMO soy-free feed.

I can say non-GMO only assuming that the usual GMO feeds of soy and corn are avoided by buying organic corn and not adding soy to my feed (I do as noted on my BYC page very occasionally buy organic layer pellets, and use organic chick starter to start my chicks (due to the size of my seeds and grains which I don't crack any more after purchase).

The organic feeds that I buy do of course have non-GMO soy in them. This is of course roasted soy which is IMO ok in small quantities.

I am against artificial vitamins. So I don't add them.

Edited to add: the pumpkin seeds I am going to be deleting soon and adding more of something else as I have almost an all-bantam flock now. Bantams and pumpkin seeds are not going to work, unless grinding the seeds is involved.

I think I will increase the peanut quantities, as they really love them (and peck them apart), and maybe the peas, too.

I must add that fresh greens are very important (grass)- see my BYC page if interested.

I have some links if you want to PM me.
