Hi, My name is Sierra and I am new to this. See I am only 15, but I love my chickens as much as all of you. I hope to to be able come to the swap, will it be ok if I bring my friends 3 rooster that NEED to be sold or swapped for hens? They are Light Brahmas, and the smallest one is very sweet, he even lets you pick him up and baby him! I'm a little in love with him! But I live in the city and can not keep him. I Would hate to see him eaten!(The others have attacked me so many times that I don't care much). Thank you so much!

They make cigarette lighter adapters that are electrical outlets. You can also rig up an extension cord or an adapter to connect to a car battery. You then plug the lamp into this.

 

Hand warmers also work. You can also just keep the chicks in a smallish box and their own body heat will keep them warm. You then just take one or two out at a time for display and put them back when they start to get cold.

Please keep in mind that ANYTHING you are running from your car battery or cig lighter is going to drain the car battery and come the end of day you may not have enough battery power to start the car.

Has anyone heard from K7 Menagerie? I'm supposed to be getting some cochin hatching eggs from her at the swap but haven't heard from her in a couple of weeks. She said she was going out of town that week and would have someone else bring my eggs.
