Before I bought them I did not know that they are a mixed breed. I thought they were Araucana. I love them just the same. No eggs yet as they are babies.

This is a wonderful breed, so sweet and calm! They chatter, but it's very quiet. Mine are sweet little (big) lap chickens and very docile. One will just let you put her on your lap and...

I tossed a few of these treats down for my baby chicks (about 4-5week olds) and they went literally crazy over them. Pecking frenzy, rushing around and enjoying themselves. good to give on...

Mary... you caught me... Yes it's true.. I have been training my icelandics to stay in their pen... Their run isn't even entirely enclosed and yet they stay right where they are supposed to...![]()
Great... now I'm jinxed and I'll probably find them all in with the pigs on the other side of the barn when I go out today...![]()

OH, sorry if I put the curse on you.
They have a lot of time on their hands to stand there and look at the top of their pen. I'm just saying.
At least if the get in with the pigs you won't have to worry about crossbreeds.

When we bought our house part of our lot was outside the fence. We talked to our neighbor and she would not agree to move it even after we showed her our survey. After she put her house up for sale I wanted the fenced moved before the new buyers thought part of our lot was theirs so we moved the fence in the middle of the night.
She never noticed!
