That is so COOL!

Whoever said don't count your chickens before they're hatched clearly never tried to count chickens after they're hatched.

lol My family jokes about that with our Shamo all the time. We'd love to get him a diaper too to wander the house now and then, but I believe it won't stay on. I hear diapers need a chicken with a tail that holds them up - Shamos have too low of a tail set to do that. Well, at least, they should.

I know it is kind of a disgrace to say "I want to housebreak a gamecock" but it's true. I just wanna let him in now and then. lol

Oooh yes, I have put a leash on my blind Buff Orpington Hazel (R.I.P.) and I walked her around the yard.  The neighbors were giving me funny looks.... I wonder why.  hu

I think he was bowing his head in shame though....gig

I looked at all the caged animals in the barn...the cast-offs of human society. I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness, and betrayal. And I was angry."God," I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"God was silent for a moment, and then He spoke softly, "I have done something," he replied.  "I created you."

I used to work in an auto parts factory, which is the reason for my handle.  Chickens aren't as heavy, but they're much more entertaining than auto parts!!

BIG! My 18-20 week old roo would probably fit into a large pony halter!

I wouldn't be surprised if this starts a trend!  Pretty soon you will see folks taking their flock for a walk around the neighborhood, all on leashes of course, and don't forgot the poop bags!  And there will be a new category of job - "Chicken Walker" for when you are at work.  lol

Owned by two old dogs (yellow lab and a big, red, fuzzy mutt) and four chickens (Buff Orpington, Barred Rock, and two Easter Eggers)

PS.  My kids have now said I am officially a "Crazy Chicken Lady!!"

Very cute. I wouldn't mix my chickens with others at an event like that, though. Never know what diseases you could bring home.
