can you eat "silkies" eggs? I have two and they are young so I do not know their sex but I was told that their eggs are not good? thoughts and ANY advice would be much appreciated!! Thank you!!
Before I bought them I did not know that they are a mixed breed. I thought they were Araucana. I love them just the same. No eggs yet as they are babies.
I am just wanting to recommend Nathan Howe, in Wesley Chapel, FL as a breeder for these lovely birds - I just went to his place and purchased 2 very young pullets - very healthy, active,...
This is a wonderful breed, so sweet and calm! They chatter, but it's very quiet. Mine are sweet little (big) lap chickens and very docile.
One will just let you put her on your lap and...
I tossed a few of these treats down for my baby chicks (about 4-5week olds) and they went literally crazy over them. Pecking frenzy, rushing around and enjoying themselves. good to give on...

Is that crop bra for after a surgery? Then maybe yeah, I could see that. Saddles....yeah, I have used those before but chickens aren't really into that. Culling the offending rooster is easier. I draw the line at bringing them in the house and putting diapers on them.
I'm ashamed to say that we even bought our silkys their
own blowdryer. So they would look nice and fluffy for the
roos in the yard.
But that's as far as I'm going here. Ain't gonna buy no lipstick
for no pigs or nothing.

What brand of suncreen do you buy for the horse? Do they
seem to like one brand over the other? Apply it every few hours,
or just once a day?
I use the #50 (sorry, I don't remember abbreviations well) if I have it on hand or the #35. If it is a nasty sunny day and the horses are in an area where they don't have (or not choose) to have a lot of shade, I will apply it in the morning (7AM) and at noon. Otherwise just very occasionally. Sadly all but one of my horses has a big white blaze that needs that care. Some get a bit of sunburn on their chest but that is it. Mostly just on their noses. They like the brands that don't smell overly strong. Otherwise they will just....rub it off on their legs.
