Peeps inside shell. No pips yet..... have 2 green eggs, 3 banty eggs, and 1 brown egg. No clue on mamas til they hatch and grow. Daddy is a Mille Fleur D'uccle....little guy who does a pretty darn good job with 17 hens to service. He's 9 for 9 so far.....hatched eggs I mean.

wow, busy little feller.  big_smile  So, sounds like you may have some chicks tomorrow too.    The green eggs will hatch some fun babies, I love watching EE's grow.  They are always different in color and pattern.  Some are close to the same, but there is always a difference somewhere.  Good luck!!  Talk tomorrow, and see what we all have.   Have a good nights sleep, that's if ya can.  tongue

I woke up at 4:30 this morning to cheeping.  Thought I would go in to see one or two that hatched..I had 4!  And then at 5:45 went to check again, the other one had hatched.  The are all black!  From blue eggs, except the brown one.  Well, I couldn't stand it, I had to go out to the broody girl.  I lifter her up, heard a peep.  I picked the egg up and it really peeped, has a big pip.  Not too worried about it hatching..I can hardly wait to see a mama hen with her baby.  It will be soo cute.  She did fluff up and growl at me, but didn't peck at me..she's a cochin, she wouldn't do that..a cute little bantam.  Bet her baby is black too.
I was soo hoping for a black EE from this group of pretty blue eggs..I think I got some!  Now I hope they have puffy cheeks.  The are still wet..so they must have all hatched early this morning.  Will get pictures later.  I can't wait to see them fluffed up.  They are already as big as the lavender cochin bantams I hatched out exactly two weeks ago!  These eggs that just hatched were huge.  Anyway, going to go ahead and put them in the same brooder with the cochin bantams.  My guess is, the bantams will be scared of the new babies.  smile
