Yes... all you need to trun a Blue Copper Maran into a Lemon Blue Maran is get rid of the red enhancers

A lot of people look at threads out of curiosity to see what other people are doing. You only gave 3 hours between your original post and when you replied with the above. Take a deep breath and try this chicken calculator: http://kippenjungle.nl/Overzicht.htm

You
can use it to see the genotype behind a particular color. That will help you figure out how best to arrive at your desired color. It's also fun to do test crosses without having to use real chickens or spend 21 days waiting and worrying about what might hatch out.

while I use and promote the use of the calculator, the calculator does not take into acount the dilution effect of Blue,Splash or dominant white.

I am curious to see any pictures of Lemon blue Marans from those working on this project and might have some pretty adult birds I can see.. I know they are a work in progress -- I have been gifted a dozen and am excited about the possibilities.

Loving the Southern climate with my Misc. chickens 2 Rotties, 1 rescued mutt, 8 Netherland/Mini Lop rabbits, 3 grown children, two grandsons, and a DH that loves animals as much as I do. I have BCM, RIR, Coronation sussex, BLRW, SLW, Buff, Blue, Black Splash Opringtons, and a huge mixed flock that resembles the U.N. swap page: http://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=70350-swap-page

seems at this moment nobody has a Lemon Blue Maran yet even a project class birds, Autosomal Red is a very difficult thing to get rid of, that´s why they are blue copper maran instead of lemon blue maran, I will be more than happy to help others with the theory behind lemon blue if the p.m me
