What are these babies?? - Page 2

I got them from a craigslist ad for silky chicks.  I wanted silkys but I am in love either way. I am just glad to have chickens. I do have to say, I never saw any silky parents, only other types of chickens running around. I don't know what kind they were, seems like all the other "wild" looking small chickens that we have around florida that you may see in a group walking around on their own. they are certianly funny to watch.

I have silkie chicks at home and the last two definitely look like silkies, but they all look like mixes to me. I have Silkie/Serama mix and his feathers were different to. Actually my picture < is of him. So I'd definitely say they are a silkie mix, especially with having the black feathered legs and 5 toes. The last two look more like my silkie chicks, just not as fluffy, granted mine are now 2 wks old now. But I'd say they are mix too, second to last looks like a partridge mix, and the last looks like a blue mix. If you go on my website you can see pictures of my silkie chicks after they hatched. If you'd like some silkies I actually need to get rid of mine and I have plenty of chicks to choose from. But either way your chicks are very cute and I love my mix. I think he's beautiful. It's so neat seeing the different features in him. He has the top feathers of a Serama, with the under feathers of a Silkie, with feathered feet and 5 toes, he has the comb and waddles of a Serama, with the body more like a silkie. He is adorable and very, very sweet.

She is very pretty, looks like she has a sweet disposition as well. Love her coloring.

The first 2 look like slikie mixes. The black legs and 5 toes definately tell me they have silkie in them but the first 2 aren't pure. I'm not sure about the other 2... They are either pure or have a little bit of something else in them.

Thank you. She doesn't have the black skin like she is supposed to, but I like that about her. I got her from a friend, and he only has a trio of silkies (all have dark skin), so I'm not sure where this came from! Probably way back in her lineage. She also has a crooked beak, but her body shape is adorable.

They have to be one of the cutest chicks ever.. since they have feathers on their feet they might be silkies , cochins, or bantams

I have two amazing parents, I live on a gorgeous farm with emus, chickens, ducks, dogs. I am dreaming of one day owning a horse

Thanks everyone! We love them, and all their goofy personalities. Got to go to the fair tonight (jax agri fair) and see all the chickens I have been looking at pic's of and reading about, it was so much fun for us!! I saw a game duck doing a sexy dance for his girl. And one of the silkys they had was a noisey little girl !
