hope by am i have much progress.

After yesterdays surprise of all sebbies and the regular toulouse showing spiders, today I found that the muscovys (pied and lavanders) are all also spidered, and two more old english games have shown now (it was 1 of 7).  All serve to remeind me to give them 10 days before last call.

I'm telling you, Iain, I'm gonna assist every egg in that bator, if it comes to it.  I know what to do, and I'm going to get over my antiquated notions about unpipped eggs.

I hope Erins other two come around, they look very good otherwise, but one is a bit watery.  From what I've read, the large goose eggs are not only the hardest eggs to hatch, they ar as delicate on the inside as a quails, and it is not uncommen to only get a 50% hatch from good local eggs.  (but if I get one, I'm gonna eat it!) 

If your dewlaps candle w/spiders, let me know.  PM me, and let me know your ladys contact, if she's willing.  DH and I were talking about your eggs today.  I've shown him some pics, and he's on board.  I just hope their are some laying in 3 weeks.  I dont think I could have room until 4 days before easter, when I can spare a bator.  I would like to make neccessary arrangements before the fact, though.  Where is she again?  State wise...

I understand.  After two crap haches in a row, on the tail of  a very modest hatch, I'm feeling like I must be jinxed, but I know in fact there was a problem, and I've got to get it fixed.  So, bleached a bator, ordered more fresh eggs from recomended sources, ordered two more bators when I got a little overzealous in the new egg and ebay dept, and life goes on. 

I'd help.  I used t say no, but I'm coming around on this.  There are many reasons to hatch, and a bad hatch doesn't mean a weak or bad baby.  Every Egg is Important.

I am so incredibly excited right now!! I finally had the nerve to candle my duck eggs at the end of day 28. I had not heard any sounds or seen movement after 28 days.  My hope was really fading away and  I was very nervous about seeing what was happening inside the eggs. The mallard egg's air sack had more than doubled in size and I could hear a kind of chewing sound inside!! I really hope that the little baby is going to make it out of it's shell. My crested egg still has another day before it's due to hatch. I could not hear noises or see any difference in its development. My Welsh Harlequin seems a little underdeveloped. I feel confident that my mallard has a chance.  I finally have a little glimmer of hope that atleast one  baby may have an opportunity  to hatch in the next day or two:)

its just disappointing .

but it still early in the season.

and these eggs were not paid forr eggs (which meakes this somewhat easier)

i do have many hens to do my work for me. so either way i can still have fluffies.\

im not giving up just yet.

afte this hatch/disaster lol. i am going to scrub the bator. halfway into this hatch grandma tells me she has neve cleaned it .  just simply picked the yucky pape towels up off the wire and wiped off any gunk.

she also keeps telling me i must be doing something wrong. im tired of that lecture.

but celtic gave me very good advice.

and like always calmed me down somewhat .
 

Thank you Marty!! I was so thrilled to hear that little noise in the egg:) It was music to my ears:) I hope to have some more updates soon!

Yea!  I found two yesterday, and have hope for one more.  I'm nervous about the geese, but I'm doing what I can.  Today they got their first cool and spray. 

She had to get off for the night.  She asked if someone would write her an update, and she'll check stuff in the morning. 

Maybe just PM her, or forward your pics before bed.....
