3 Post offices and an email to corporate later......   I know how to do it now, so it won't be a big deal from now on.  I SO hope they get there and don't get chucked in the ocean.

Hey Marty, I have a recipe that my aunt makes for a pineapple cake with a standard vanilla/powdered sugar icing.  It's great on it's own, but I bet you could tweak it to make it even better.  I'll dig it up.

I think the dewlap purchase is a safe bet. I think the timing will work with me getting my other dewlap set too!
And by the way, I am still waiting to see why the Africans have a bad rap. All my babies are sweet and #1 and eBay are both very bonded to me. They act like puppy dogs. Poor #1 had a fit if I left the pen, and made sure to lay on my foot when I stood in the pen.
Julie, that is cute about yours needing a light to find the way to their home at night. I think my babies prefer us not turning off lights at night. They act scared of the dark.

I was wanting to add lights anyway to attract bugs for the ducks at duck. Just looks like I need them now, not later, lol. The older they get they seem to be able to find their way in the dark no problem, the adults would stay up until midnight sometimes wandering around or hanging by the front door.

Not too much other than I saw the external pipping this morning and came home to cute babies.  Keiko got off her nest long enough for me to take a photo or two.  The babies were all fighting to see who could get to the bottom of the pile it was sooo cute.

I have another duck hen on a nest now too, but she just started sitting last week.  I will probably have to put them on craigslist cause I have enough ducks already.  I really wanted to have some hatch though cause they are so cute.  Some of my coworkers want to do Easter photos with the ducklings.

so i dont think the duckling has a slipped tenton.

both legs look normal.

they have normal range of motion. his hip has normal range of motion.

i think it is simply from being in the egg too long. and the wrong way .

im still unsure if he will recover.

but if i put him in my hand i can position both legs under him and he keeps in there.  so i know they are capable of being positioned normal.

we will see how he is tomarrow.

he is going to be a beautiful and odd color.

he really needs to get better so he can go with his brothers to their new home.

its a zoo here:

12 call duck....2 geese -1 female saddleback pom. ....1american buff.

10 peafowl chicks <3

2 bantam cochins....

5 silkie hens and 4 splash juvis....

6 goats.....2 ponies....3beef cows.

an african grey parrot....2 fish tanks...

6hermit crabs... 3 betas... a turtle

and some guineas (all ages)

Just give the baby another day.  mine often just walk it off, after they've got a little out of the shell time.  If it was a wrong ender, then it probobly incubated with the leg stuck weird.  Maybe a couple of 95* baths to strengthen it up, followed by a nice towel dry and heat lamp.

Why don't sheep shrink in the rain?

Why is there brail at drive up ATMs??

Why are their floatation devices instead of parachutes in my airplain seat???

If a tree falls in the woods and my husband doesn't hear it, am I still wrong????
