April 17th....I set 19 eggs, though. All of my pastel's were clear, but they are 2011 birds and only started laying on the 13th so I"m not suprised. Only 5 out of 9 butterscotch are developing, but the other 4 started and quit....so the butters are definitely fertile. The adults are 2010 hatch, and experienced.
they will hatch a couple days after mine (under broody chickens) mine hatch aprl 8th &11th
and thats odd all 7 of my birds are 2011 hatch. and my fertility has been pretty amazing.
first clutch 5 eggs set- 3 fertile (only 1 hatched , died early)
2nd- 19 eggs sat, 18 fertile, 2 blood ringed, the rest made it to lockdown, only had 3 hatch (assisted) the rest never even tried. and one had a deformed leg and died 2 days later.
3rd (under chicken now)- 11 eggs under 1 hen, 1 bloodring rest are doing great..... other hen has 6 eggs all doing great.
have not candled the eggs for the april 11th hatch yet.
but im really surprised by my fertility.
