I'm just very, very depressed.  I hand raised this horse from the age of 6 weeks old, he was an orphan that almost died.  hit.gif

It's not her fault.  She sent you fertile eggs.  If she's offering to send you more for shipping that a heck of a deal.  What did you email her though? Because she really doesn't have to offer you that.

Maybe you should get some of chicksohmy's BEI and have mini cayugas? You could probably advertise them as "teacup" cayugas and make a fortune. lol.png

I've got BEI's in the bator! I didn't expect the dark, smoky colored eggs! Can't wait to meet them! celebrate.gif

But if I could do it.. I would have looked into that one I just lost, that HAD to be from your drake.  The egg was on the older side so I'm going to go with that.

I don't eggtopsy either. Well, with the exception of the ones that pipped then died. Then I only chip away enough to be sure they're dead before tossing them.

Don't like dead things. Eww! *shudder*

I'm having fertility issues with my ducks... the only fertile egg I've seen was the one I made cookies with.

My sebbie has internally pipped and I am just waiting to see the beak push through the shell.  I can not wait to see it.

I would give your two chicks some more time. I love EE's!

Excited for your sebbie to hatch! celebrate.gif

And as for the catching up, I'm (obviously) still way behind you!

No, not her fault at all.  Never acused her.  But it was her drake that threw all boys.  I might still get them, not sure.  Maybe it was ment to be, and I'm awesome at hatching drakes.  I didn't say i wasn't gonna get anymore cause it was her fault, I just screwed up pretty bad roll.png.  I just can't do another hatch I don't think.

I told her that I was happy with her eggs, and some other nice stuff about her eggs, and ducks.  I haven't told her yet that her ducks threw all boys.

I want to get my son into 4H when he's a little more mature. He just turned 5 yesterday. His thrill for the day was getting to watch me candle eggs and see the development.

What are those tiny milkgoats named?  Not the LaManchas (we love those too) but the pygmy or something.....  Anyone know?

My hubby's been begging for goats. But we need to clear more land so we can make a house for them.

My aunt had Tennessee Walkers when I was a kid.  And one day she saw her son (my cousin) come inside kinda acting weird.. and walk back out with the gun.  So she of course said.. "Woah.. what's going on?"  Well, her horse had gotten up in his feed trough and fallen over onto a fence post and was basically shish-ka-bobbed on it.  Still alive.  My cousin and Uncle had gone out and found it and were going to "take care of it" and THEN tell her.  They didn't want her to see her horse that way.

But when she found out what was going on, she ran out there and MADE them call the vet.  Well, the vet of course said.. there is absolutely nothing I can do for this horse.  It was obviously in a lot of pain and he suggested they put her down.  (duh).

My aunt is still traumatized by seeing that.  He was an AMAZING horse.

That would traumatize anyone. ep.gif

My bosses found one of their cows (a new mama) strangled in the manger some time ago. How she did it is a mystery, but she got her neck wrapped up real good in there from what I hear.

Nubian is what hubby wants. Baby goats are so sweet... I went to a meet the farmer event with my boss last week and one of the regulars was walking around with a baby goat in her arms. It's name? Stu. Or maybe it's Stew. Oh my.

My best guess is "going rotten." I tossed two of those today. Stink bombs are not my idea of fun.

I'm confused...how do you know every one of her eggs had a male baby in it?  If I screwed up a batch of fertile eggs, I couldn't in good concience ask for or accept free eggs from the seller.  If the eggs were infertile, that's another story.
