Why don't sheep shrink in the rain?

Why is there brail at drive up ATMs??

Why are their floatation devices instead of parachutes in my airplain seat???

If a tree falls in the woods and my husband doesn't hear it, am I still wrong????

I candled my 2 dozen red/roux dilute quail eggs from thequaillady and only 8 were viable.  Pshh....Go figure.  They are due to hatch the end of next week.  I have had the worst luck with her eggs.  I also just set 1 dozen Ancona eggs from Boondocker lines yesterday.  Yay!

My 4 fertile quail eggs made it.  3 english whites and a rosetta tux.

Ducks shipped, geese not shipped, will try to get them out tomorrow.
Oh and picked up a box of duck eggs shipped in, more SA to add another bloodline to our flock. Sent 14, all in tact, stable air cells too.
All of the auto water nipples came in for the chickens and rabbits. The new auto bowls have shipped so this week will be the week to run PVC. No more worries on hot days of water running out.

Busy day, huh?

Thanks, guys! I love my new babies. Marty, just you wait until you hatch your goslings. You will love them more than ducklings. And that is saying something!

Hi all!  I haven't been on here in awhile, so I'm not going to even attempt to catch up--I'd be here all night.  Lots of cute pics just posted, though!

I'm a little worried about a couple of my approx week old ducklings.  One of them is the one that has the crooked beak, but I think I'm just going to have to wait and see about him.  The other one has something weird going on with his neck.  I just noticed it tonight when I got home from work.  It's hard to describe and I didn't get a very good pic (it's uploading from my phone right now).  It's like he's holding his neck offset, like off to one side.  Does anyone know what that could be?

I'll post the pic as soon as it's done uploading.

Another weird thing I noticed tonight is that a couple of them have skin peeling off the bottoms of their feet.  What could that be?  My daughter is on spring break and she was helping take care of them today.  She went a little overboard on giving them water.  Their brooder was soaked when I got home.  Could it be from that?

Christine, sounds like wry neck. I had a duckling get it at 8 days old. Fixed it with a polvisol drop mixed with kale 3x per day for one week.

That would have to be some very cute and charming goslings!  I wove my wittle waddly duckies!  I can't imagine loving anything more than them in the poultry world, but I'm excited for baby geese too, and am certainly prepared to adore them.

Did you know geese are the oldest domesticated poultry?
