My first black copper maran chicks I hatched 12 of 16 eggs Shipped to me.  there are 10 girls and 2 boys

I order 24 Lemon Cuckoo Orpington Eggs well they hatched and I got 16 to hatch 2 had bad legs and didn't make it. there are 7 Males and 7 Females

I did a mass candling earlier, which is why I'm up so late. Takes a while to candle 84 eggs.

2 questionable BEI's. Can't see well enough to assess. idunno.gif 4/11 hatch

I  love Marans, but I'm so nervous with the idea of hatching dark eggs!

I had that same thought.  My friend told me they are mutt ducks and he doesn't know who bred who... but the eggs are HUGE.  Although one is blue.  I emailed him to see if he had a mallard though.

Good morning, ladies.  What is up with the early hatching?   I need to check my eggs still, but am wondering how soon I will have to lock down my duckies.  It's only day 23.

My menagerie includes 5 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats, 32 geese (dewlap toulouse & african) and 10 ducks (muscovy, ancona, cayuga & silver appleyard).
