Today kinda sucked! Found out, I don't really have a pair of anconas. I have a ancona drake, and a magpie hen! Urg! Anyone interested in these 2? I don't have interest in finding a magpie drake, and a ancona hen for them. And don't want to mix breed. I don't have room to be breeding magpies, and anconas. I love em both though!

So marty, is it possible I can just buy peacock eggs from you? Pprrreeeeertty please? If they lay in your yard that is! I don't think I will be keeping these 2. I would rather add some more runners.

Well, I have 5 turkeys pipped, but no poults yet. 2 are attempting to zip, but not going very fast. The one that was pipped this morning has zipped about half a centimeter. These guys are driving me nuts.

Nice cake.  I love my big mixer.  One giant batch of frosting, and then I'm good!  Love that!  Of course, it usually had a different cake flavor for every layor, so I seldom whip up 200 servings of the same cake flavor.

Its a beauty, and the human and bird babies are nice too!

Why don't sheep shrink in the rain?

Why is there brail at drive up ATMs??

Why are their floatation devices instead of parachutes in my airplain seat???

If a tree falls in the woods and my husband doesn't hear it, am I still wrong????

I've gotten hooked on buying hatching eggs. This is from the girl who was terrified of shipped eggs initially.

Not bad. My first hatch, I started with 14, 11 went to lockdown and got 8 babies one of which had a leg issue and didn't make it. That's a good hatch for a first timer!

Hey Marty... I am doing a bumblefoot procedure on a rooster tomorrow. Does it matter how fresh the potatoes are? I'm going to try your poultice once most of the ick is out.

Shrink wrap seems to be the newest hatching disease going around. Better than backwards pipping, but still not awesome. hugs.gif

Oh, and that mixer is amazing! Wish I had a big enough kitchen for industrial equipment. Actually, my biggest dream in one of those restaurant style pull-down to close dishwashers that washes, rinses and sanitizes in 2 minutes.

Just hatched 1 duckie! I don't know what it is probally a pekin cause its all yellow.  I have one Sebbie in LD that is pipping n zipping now, and 8 AM buff Geese that 6 are internally pipped & signing to me, and 2 that are hanging out & look good.  Not due to hatch from 5-9th

1 wild gander internally pipped 1 out of 2 eggs not bad

I need to set all 5 of my mixed purebred goose eggs, & my other 5 wild gander eggs on the 9th.

I bought 3 toulouse eggs from auction

Set 7 embden,

4 dozen Anconas,

13 cayugas one seller,

3 sebbies one seller,

3 more sebbies another seller,

17 SA,

6 Bourbon Red Turks,

2 dozen more Cayugas.

14 MYSTERY Duck eggs from auction I got for a couple bucks

& Chickens, BEI, & mallards from ChicksOhmy

So I hope all hatches well over the next few days!   LOOKS like all sorts of crazy hatching goin on here

So my Besties what do you have cookin new in your bators, & Brooders ???

Sounds like you're going to have a lot of hatching going on.

I posted the full list the other day. Not going to re-type it. But I've got about 84 eggs in different stages now and 36 eggs coming to fill the void as soon as the 4/11 batch hatches.
