Well all eggs are doing decent. They will stay in the ness for tonight. But. I better see improvement. In the am or i may bring them in.
Thoughts??

its a zoo here:

12 call duck....2 geese -1 female saddleback pom. ....1american buff.

10 peafowl chicks <3

2 bantam cochins....

5 silkie hens and 4 splash juvis....

6 goats.....2 ponies....3beef cows.

an african grey parrot....2 fish tanks...

6hermit crabs... 3 betas... a turtle

and some guineas (all ages)

Just go on instinct, you've hatched enough you know what to do chick.

 

Pokey has finally, after internally pipping thursday morning, externally pipping around noon friday, progressed to 2 thirds the way zipped. Another few hours he might actually be persuaded to pop out and make his appearance.

Julie if i trusted my instincts right now every one of those eggs woul be in my bator. Im so nervous.
Do u think if they dont have progress by tomattow am i should bring them in? What would u do, i mean 24 hrs with no progress. Im super nervous

CG, I would think they'd be ok under the broody, but I have read call ducks have a harder time breaking shell. Sorry, don't know what to do if I were you.
My menagerie includes 5 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats, 32 geese (dewlap toulouse & african) and 10 ducks (muscovy, ancona, cayuga & silver appleyard).

CG... I would have a hard time dealing with a broody. I would be so tempted to steal her eggs and do it myself. I almost did when the farm had a broody recently. She hatched one chick and it was found dead the next day. Several pipped and died. I just had to stay hands-off the whole time.

My gut says anyone without progress tomarrow morning is coming inside i cant keep stressin out the hen an i wont lose a baby bcuz it cant get out on its own

Well, no matter where they are, they will make progress as they are ready.  Its not uncommon for ducks to take another day after pipping externally.  If your hen is sitting tight, I guess I'd give them a bit longer, IMO.
