The cayuga eggs are from my duck that I sold to a guy.  He brings me in Pekins, blue swedes and cayugas to hatch and I get to keep them if I want or sell them or give them back to him,  The Canadian egg my niece found when she was out hunting for mushrooms.  No momma on the egg so she brought it to me to hatch,  I just put it in the incubator tonight so we will see what happens with it

I've got these 2 goose eggs due Monday.  And my ducks are FINALLY popping out fertile eggs.. so we'll see who the daddy is on those..

Then today I lost one of my little Saxony ducklings after it drowned in the pool.  (freak accident I guess.)  And I also lost a goose I was hatching for a friend that was backwards.

Its funny, when I only incubated my own eggs, I only checked days 10 and lockdown, and never noticed shrink wrap.  Now, with expensive shipped eggs, I check once a week, or more if I'm feeling curious now.  Now I have shrink wrap.

There may be something to that.

marty not sure about that theory.

the eggs under both of my hens were shrink wrapped.

and i only checked them 3 times (once at 18ish days, one at 23, and at 24)

we will see how wednesdays hatch does.
